An invite to the Met Gala comes with great responsibility. There’s a theme to dress for—this year's theme is “Gilded Glamour”—and attendees must come up with an outfit for that theme that’s great and outrageous…but not so outrageous it gets them roasted online. Plenty of the men in attendance at tonight’s Met Gala red carpet delivered on the theme (“Gilded Glamour”) and the dress code (white tie), wearing coattails and top hats that embodied the expressive elegance of New York high society at the turn of the century.
