Prairie Arts Center, (416 N. Jeffers) — Western art by Rachel Brownlee of Rushville. Also, Artist Karrie Steely’s oil and pastel creations on metal pieces from her land in south central Nebraska. Her exhibit is called Prairie on Found Metal. Open Tuesdays-Saturdays. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. No charge.

North Platte Visitors Center (101 Halligan Dr) — Local Beat on the Patio. Live music by Wild Roses. No charge. Bring a lawn chair. 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Wild West Arena (2400 N. Buffalo Bill) — Whitetail Bull Bash. Bull riding invitational hosted by the North Platte Community College rodeo team. $10. 7-9 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 16

North Platte High School (1220 W. 2nd) — Homecoming Tailgate Party before the Bulldogs’ game against Columbus, presented by the NPHS cheerleaders. $5. 4:30-6 p.m.

Wild West Arena (2400 N. Buffalo Bill) — Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Stampede. $10. 7-10 p.m.
