The opening meeting of the 2022-23 club season for the Woman’s Club of Steubenville was held Sept. 1 at Froehlich’s Classic Corner in Steubenville where the entertainment was arranged by Bobbyjon Bauman, director of the Sycamore Youth Center in Steubenville, and showcased the singing talents of 11-year-old Bishop John King Mussio Elementary School student Skylar Hendrix. The Valley’s Got Talent “Kid’s Edition” vocal soloist winner performed two numbers — “My Jesus” from Anne Wilson and “10,000 Reasons” from Matt Redman. Among club members enjoying the performance were, left photo, clockwise, from left, Linda Wells, Eleanor Weiss, Barbara Sweeney, Judy Brancazio, Dr. Susanne Curn-Escobar and Pamela Bauman. President Carlotta Jordan presided at the luncheon and business meeting. The club will be meeting now on the first Tuesday of the month at noon at Froehlich’s Classic Corner. The next meeting will be held Oct. 4.
