US Open partners with IBM
The tournament, on its official Twitter handle, announced a partnership with IBM to improve the fan experience. It said, “We’ve partnered with @IBM to create all-new digital platforms for the 2022 US Open.”
Further, it added, “@AndyRoddick & @AnisimovaAmanda share the new AI & Cloud powered features that enhance the fan experience on the US Open app and usopen.org.”

One of the new features at the tournament will be IBM collecting data points regarding the players’ on-court performances. Subsequently, it will predict the winners based on those data points collected.

The 20-year-old hasn’t been granted the easiest of draws at this year’s US Open. She will take on World Number 38, Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan in the opening round of the tournament.

Anisimova, who is the 24th seed in the tournament, will face the winner of the match between Sofia Kenin and Jule Niemeier in the second round. Kenin is a former Australian Open champion and French Open finalist.
